born in Rome in 1974 and descendant from a well-established dynasty of artists (Cascella), is immersed in the art world. Since his first appearance on the art scene, he works with a wide range of different media such as painting, graffiti, photography and video art. Interacting with his cultural heritage and aspiring to a new connotation system of production, he consistently refuses a static vocabulary and confronts himself in relation to memory and tradition. Among the early European pioneers of what is now considered digital art, Basilé uses cutting-edge technology as a research tool aimed at a social process of self-discovery. He participates in 2009 and in 2011 at the Venice Biennale. His works are in several private and public collections. He lives and works in Rome.
